1.
Start with a medium to large sized goldfish bowl for your terrarium.
Put about 1" of
perlite across the botom |
2.
Add a mix of 60% peat moss and 40% perlite until the bowl is 1/3 full
then add 2 cups of water |
3.
Next
add a layer of wet long fiber sphagnum moss in your terrarium.
|
4. Use your fingers
to make spaces for your
plants
|
5.
Add your plants to the terrarium!
Be
sure to use compatible species
|
6.
You can add more sphagnum moss to fill in gaps
 |
7.
Add more plants! Not too many, and don't crowd your terrarium.
 |
Plants
used in this terrarium are Venus Flytrap, Pinguicula Primuliflora, Pinguicula moranensis,
and Drosera Adelae |
All
of these plants will appreciate the conditions that this terrarium will
provide. If you live where it is dry, you can cover the top with plastic
wrap. Never let it dry out! |
A
fluorescent light placed10-12" above your plants, on a 15 hour/day
cycle will provide enough light for good growth.
Filtered window light works very well but don't let your terrarium get too hot.
